Parents Sue Over Reading of "King & King"

Okay, so here's one for my, "How FUCKING dumb is that?" category.

The plaintiffs in the case, Joseph and Robin Wirthlin and David and Tonia Parker, describe themselves as "devout Christians." Their main problem -- other than being bigoted, hateful fuck-heads -- is that they feel they were not given the opportunity to exclude their children from the lesson. Here is an excerpt from a Washington Times article:
In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs accuse Lexington Public Schools and the town of Lexington of breaking the commonwealth of Massachusetts' so-called "opt-out law." The statute requires public schools to notify parents when the instructional curriculum "primarily involves human sexual education or human sexual issues," so that concerned parents can remove their children from class.

The story in question involves a prince who, when encouraged to marry by his parents, sets out to find another prince. It has nothing to do with sex education or human sexuality -- any more than fairy tales like Cinderella or Snow White do.

Christian terrorists, like the Wirthlins and the Parkers, are motivated by irrational fear and deep seated hatred. They believe that absolutely everyone MUST conform to their narrow-minded dogma.

Robin, dear, unwad your panties, sit down for a moment and pay attention: if you don't want your child to be taught lessons of tolerance and acceptance, then there is a simple solution -- either home-school him or enroll him in private school.
