Before his election, everyone in America was concerned about the influence the church might have on our first Roman Catholic President, John F. Kennedy. These fears were, of course, unfounded.

Today, however, no one seems to be even remotely concerned about the influence the church has on our current President, George W. Bush.

Ironic, isn't it.
